With only 9 days to go you can help rabble make its 2018 fundraiser goal!

Dear readers,

We are less than two weeks away from our Nov. 30 deadline and we are getting close to our $50,000 goal. We're now counting down the days, and each minute counts in trying to reach out to all of the supporters -- new and old alike -- that we possibly can.

By now we are at well over $30,000, and if we can receive the same steady stream of support that we have been getting all along, we know we can make that goal, with your help.

Our country-wide network of mobilized readers and rabble-rousers makes up a strong contingent of activists, commentators, and journalists from all over Canada. Will you join them right now and chip in to support our independent media work?

So many wonderful voices and heroes have supported our campaign this year.

Please add your name to our community of supporters! If you already are a supporter -- thank you! Our current supporters can increase their impact by encouraging three friends to donate, by adding to your donation, or by changing from a single donation to a monthly donation.

At rabble, we don't see our work as insular, but as an extension and amplification of the work of social movements and frontline activism, from coast to coast. The ordinary but extraordinary work of citizens chipping in all over Canada is what we thrive on.

You are what makes rabble what it is. And you can continue to make our work sustainable, well into the future. We maintain our commitment to a reader-funded model, because we know it works, and because you are a part of our mission.

Will you help us to meet our $50,000 fundraiser goal by Nov. 30?

Thank you for reading this story…

More people are reading rabble.ca than ever and unlike many news organizations, we have never put up a paywall – at rabble we’ve always believed in making our reporting and analysis free to all, while striving to make it sustainable as well. Media isn’t free to produce. rabble’s total budget is likely less than what big corporate media spend on photocopying (we kid you not!) and we do not have any major foundation, sponsor or angel investor. Our main supporters are people and organizations -- like you. This is why we need your help. You are what keep us sustainable.

rabble.ca has staked its existence on you. We live or die on community support -- your support! We get hundreds of thousands of visitors and we believe in them. We believe in you. We believe people will put in what they can for the greater good. We call that sustainable.

So what is the easy answer for us? Depend on a community of visitors who care passionately about media that amplifies the voices of people struggling for change and justice. It really is that simple. When the people who visit rabble care enough to contribute a bit then it works for everyone.

And so we’re asking you if you could make a donation, right now, to help us carry forward on our mission. Make a donation today.
