Pat Kerwin is a contributor to rabble's Retiree Matters column and the President of the Congress of Union Retirees of Canada. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the Canadian Labour Congress. His first assignment was to work with the native bands in Treaty 3 in northwestern Ontario. His second was with the CLC Department of Social & Community Affairs that dealt with everything from poverty to the environment. For 26 years, he was the CLC Director of Political Action. In his retirement, he also serves as Treasurer of the Douglas-Coldwell Foundation.
