Not so strange bedfellows

Was last week's budget vote the beginning of another long Liberal-Tory relationship in the House, or just the start of a quick fling before another election? (http://johnmaclennan.ca/)

The coalition hatched by Layton and Dion would have seen a Liberal PM but the Liberal appointed GG  rejected it as an option when she porogued.

Then Dion was dumped super quick, (without any kind of in party election) and his replacement Rejects the idea of being PM in January 2009! 

Well, I have seen politics in a lot of countries, but I have never seen this before. Nothing remotely close.

NDP produces ads attacking Ignatieff for propping up Conservative government

To achieve a majority, Harper needs to win seats in Quebec. He failed to get his majority in the last election, in part, because he alienated Quebec voters who then supported the Bloc.
