Radical consent for mad folks

This overview of radical consent for mad folks from radical sex education could easily be turned into a workshop.

A great outline to pair with this is the learning good consent zine, which also has an outline for basic consent workshops in it (page 14). For mad folks, consent is as much about defining what their madness can feel like as well as their level of comfort with a person.

Have you ever worried that someone you know - a friend, neighbour, co-worker or relative is experiencing abuse or violence? Neighbours, Friends and Families is a public awareness campaign to help people recognize the warning signs of abuse so they can help someone close to them.

This will be a discussion based workshop where we will learn about how to recognize abuse, what resources are available in our community, and how to have the courage to support someone close to you who may be experiencing violence. Violence against women is a tough topic but is one that we need to tackle together. Working together we can end violence in our community.
