Media innovation plays an essential role in ensuring that the revolution unfolding in communication continues. More than ever before, there is opportunity to take an active role in shaping government and policy in this country. This month's event will bring together media innovators, social change organizations and concerned citizens, to talk about social media and citizen engagement. The event will be an interactive dialogue on how we can use social media tools to engage citizens to vote in the upcoming elections, and more broadly in engaging Canadians in important local and global issues.

The CFC Media Lab TELUS Interactive Art & Entertainment Program (IAEP) is Canada's first post-graduate training and production program based on a philosophy that compelling content is created through a collaborative process harnessing a wide range of creative skills.

Residents learn from a variety of perspectives including academic, industrial, artistic, technological, and practical. Team-based and project-driven, the TELUS IAEP merges the fundamentals of new media with creative collaboration.
