The Conservatives are confused by Elections Canada charges in the "in/out" money laundering scandal. Normally they get their media support for free....but the media landscape is changing. Humberto DaSilva proposes: set top boxes could do for Big TV what Napster did for the music industry.
Ford, Smitherman, Pantalone, Rossi? Who to vote for? Not Rex's Humberto DaSilva laments his options for Toronto's next mayor.
Says Humberto:
"Politicians all profess to want to hear it from the kitchen table. Well here it is.
Conservative cabinet ministers are jetting off on global junkets to fight the bank tax.But Why ? It's not like Canadian banks didn't want to be too big to fail!
In Conservative Canada everyone is paying more taxes except for banks, corporations and the rich. So why is the government trying to keep the banks from sharing the tax burden?"
This week Humberto files his report from the Business School at the U of Western Ontario.
He says:
"Goldman Sachs gets charged, but will it stick in front of the US Supreme Court ? Not unless a few well timed thromboses lets Obama appoint some judges. And what's a fair sentence for capitalists that Enron'd the economy of the entire Western World ? Why Capital Punishment of course!!!"
Writes our Not Rex commentator Humberto DaSilva:
"You want to know about what's wrong with Cuba, watch CNN En Espanol. Otherwise Not Rex chugs Mojitos and ponders 21st century socialism at an ALL In in Varadero. Cubans are doing pretty good now that the biggest threat of invasion is from Canadian Tourists. They are healthy, friendly and lucky to live where they do in the Caribbean. So what if you can't go shopping in Miami. Americans who try to chill in Cuba face imprisonment back in the U.S.!"
