Organizer`s Database helps activists digitize

The Organizer's Collaborative is a group that develops tech tools and training for social change. Realizing that there was no software available for small nonprofits and activist groups, the Collaborative made their own membership software free and downloadable in 2002. They named the program the Organizer's Database (ODB).

Nonprofit news organization releases video of killings in Iraq

A United States military video was released this week showing the indiscriminate targeting and killing of civilians in Baghdad. The nonprofit news organization WikiLeaks obtained the video and made it available on the Internet. The video was made July 12, 2007, by a U.S. military Apache helicopter gunship, and includes audio of military radio transmissions.

New study: Various nonprofits impacted differently by the HST

Organizations will be impacted differently by the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) depending on the features of their GST status, according to a new study on the impact of the HST on the nonprofit sector.


The Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN) said the sector is very diverse and various sectors and organizations are impacted differently by harmonization depending on the features of their GST status.
