This Thursday at 7 p.m. at 181 Roundhouse Mews (near Yaletown Canada-line
station) join us for a discuss of what the impacts will be if there was an
oil spill.

This is an opportunity to learn about the diverse importance of Stanley
Park, in addition to the various impacts of new pipelines for bitumen oil
export.

Dangers of the Northern Gateway Pipeline

 

    We live in a world of what ifs. However, some what ifs demand serious attention. 

     What if the proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline is built? What if it leaks or spills oil, which has happened to Enbridge pipelines. Let’s assume that the proposal jumps through the hoops and Enbridge builds the twin pipelines to bring tar-sands oil to the harbour at Kitimat, British Columbia. 

     What then?
