In celebration of the diversity of British Columbia, the Vancouver Public Library will present a reading from and discussion of Every goodbye ain't gone: A photo narrative of black heritage on Salt Spring Island by Evelyn C. White and Joanne Bealy.

Released to wide acclaim, the book is the first to document the historic and contemporary presence of a thriving black community that has existed on Salt Spring for 150 years. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
