All Tibetan restaurants in the Parkdale Neighbourhood will be offering the best of their dishes to hungry patrons and helping fund Students for a Free Tibet Canada. The annual event is called ‘Eat for Tibet’, and patrons can have a full belly and clear conscience knowing that their patronage directly helps fund the preeminent grassroots youth organization dedicated to campaigning for human rights and freedom in Tibet.

Two years ago, Students for a Free Tibet’s inaugural ART FOR TIBET in New York City: 50X50 was a phenomenal success. It brought together and showcased established and new artists from all over the world -- including a growing number of outstanding contemporary Tibetan artists. Now we hope to bring this event to Toronto and make ART FOR TIBET Canada into a major art show in its own right.

Global demonstrations mark Tibetan uprising day

Thousands of Tibetans and Tibet supporters in dozens of countries took to the streets today, March 10th, to commemorate the 51st anniversary of Tibetan National Uprising Day and to show solidarity with a new nonviolent resistance movement gaining momentum in Tibet.
