Wal-Mart continues to lower standards for workers around the globe and weaken labour relations in each country where it expands.
A national campaign led by Zellers workers is drawing the attention of daily commuters, visitors, local business owners and passers-by in a number of cities across Canada.
Over 1,500 Zellers employees who are members of the UFCW have ratified a three-year union contract. Four of the Zellers stores covered by the collective agreement will be converting to Target.
Agriculture worker deaths or injuries while in transit are occurring at a disturbing rate in Ontario and across Canada. An inquest would bring awareness, answers and recommendations.
Zellers workers are gaining supporters across Canada with a new campaign that asks Target Corp. for fairness when the global retailer starts hiring and filling jobs for its “new” Canadian locations.
