Great article! I was so annoyed yesterday - I was leaving work and saw the Tamil march at Yonge and Dundas. So I wandered about, taking some pictures, and then I got onto the streetcar that was waiting on Dundas at the intersection to go home after it was over and the intersection was cleared again.
The people behind me on the streetcar were audibly griping about how the police should be "keeping the peace" and "enforcing the law" by stopping these protests. (How it would be "keeping the peace" for the police to crack down on 12,000 protesters is beyond me.) Then he went on about "taxpayers" (as if the protesters were not also taxpayers).
