I can't tell you how happy I was to read this article. Although I don't agree with the valley-girl stereotype -- it has been my experience that it is Canadians generally, young and old, who share this apathetic, not-in-my-backyard, complacent attitude...just take a look at the comments on the CBC article of the the same topic....
