I have a hell of a time loading this thread: long time, and sometimes several attempts before I get to the end of it.

For some reason it has been like that since there were only 60-70 posts. No graphics, so don't know why.

Anyway... even though it is only at 90 posts, I'm opening a successor thread.

Not true. There was one NDP government when Broadbent stepped down. It had been in power since 1985 and was reelected in 1989 before being defeated in 1992.

That's very true. People tend to forget there are party politics in the Yukon.

(Also, the NDP was in office in Manitoba until May 9, 1988 and Broadbent announced his resignation March 4, 1989 - less than a year later.)
