Hope you're right there, Wilf.  Given that all of Western capitalism wants the status quo kept in place in China, it may take awhile.

And the line in my post that you quoted was in preemptive response to the posters here who, anytime something like this gets started, come in with the "capitalists do bad things too" meme.  And it's true, they do lots of bad things, things just as evil as this event and worse.  But discussing this event doesn't mean a person doesn't care about capitalist misdeeds.   And really, this was a capitalist misdeed when you think about it, given the degree to which corporate power controls the actions of the Beijing regime.
