babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.
then stfu n listen Cracca till u do U dont get what I mean by dismiss not liking it is not dismissing it.
as to all the other white ppl comin bacc to this U PROVED MY POINT. goin after the mainstream or an underground artist u know that got a couple songs in the underground album I talked about being misoginist proved my point.
Did yall EVER think that hmm different environment what do I mean? Yo listen im from the hood others are from the hood we have to keep it gangsta no bullshit or u get clapped. U can go to a good school for example n u still come bacc to a blocc full of cracc, heroin. racist pigz, poverty etc. Remember that b4 u judge sum1. Ur talking about o this nigga dont rexpect women aint always the case come to the hood and see for example the song ghislaine talked about.
What my boi talking about? A girl who wouldnt talk to him till she heard he rich now she all over him. Would you call talking about that misoginist? or just real? It was only after that sum1 who was white brought up the fact that yall unfairly targetting hiphop that any1 listened. Real talkz yo u cant even claim to be anti-racist and never hear hiphop not so much that it a musical preference but more so that it is the primary voice and 1 way u will understand shit.
Continuting on the 50 thing realize that 1st b4 saying shit dont have the self-righteous indignation to get offended over a word but not realize the underlying meaning or anything and try to talk shit about a brotha. Str8 up

there u go always wondered tho why there aint many female mcz not a lot of girlz I seen even freestyle compared to guys. Idk maybe they shy ucz it aint like a female mc aint rexpected u know Idk still always bothered me n I never found out why. only female ones would be like lil kim or missy u know n they aint spittin no positive shit just the same regular shit but from a female view. Insteada succ my dicc they would say eat my pussy
See, obviously you have a bias against female MCs (and a general sexism problem), because you completely forgot about Lauryn Hill, who is also conspiciously absent from your list. Other female rappers include: Eve, Salt N' Pepa, Queen Latifa, Foxy Brown, Left Eye (RIP), Rah Digga, and there's MC Lyte. Missy Elliot is actually quite talented; she's not the same as L'il Kim.
I also don't think there's a point going on a mostly-white forum and trying to convince white people that hip hop isn't all the same.
I agree that you deal with a lot of white privilege ignorance here on this forum, but at the same time, you are a man, and you have male privilege and its associated ignorance. I saw your recent post about not posting much here anymore, which is probably healthy for you, given the whiteness of this place. (Racialicious is a good sanctuary.) I'm glad that you finally realized that women (not just white women) face crap for our gender, which is why I bothered replying to this.
edit: Oops! I forgot to mention Canadian Michie Mee.
I know those names (except Lyte, Lef eye and Lyte) But remember those ones are mainstream or dont spit no more when I say hiphop I dont mean shit hop u know I mean underground tingz for example.
Most of the female contribution to hiphop is jus vocals on a hook or something and it shouldnt be like that u know.
This is part of a list of what I listen to and you'll see why I wouldnt be listening to the ones you mentioned.
Camoflauge(Tdot one aka Gangis Khan), Dead Prez, Immortal Tech, Uncle Phil, Doomztown Mandem, Styles P, Slaughterhouse, Some spm and shadow ramiriez, WC, Vertigo.
How do you not know Left Eye? She was the rapper from TLC? Have you heard of TLC?
Your original list was not all underground, and many of those on your list are mainstream. 2Pac was both mainstream and he doesn't spit no more (as he is dead), yet you still mentioned him.
Besides, just cause someone becomes mainstream, it doesn't mean that their music is bad. Maybe you're young or something, but listen to these and tell me again that "most of the female contribution to hiphop is jus vocals on a hook" (WTF?):
Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (Seriously mainstream, but come on, the lyrics are tight. Not sure if you would understand them, though, as they're from a woman's POV. Even if you heard it before (which I hope), I don't know if you ever listened to the lyrics.)
Eve - Love Is Blind (Again, it's from a woman's POV, so maybe you can't relate.)
These are just a few samples. You need to look up some history before you talk about most female contribution to hip hop being "jus vocals on a hook". (Seriously?)
Ill see them later but ok mainstream was the wrong word maybe like sellout tipz or not.
I am young still Im not listening to no real early hiphop cuz that shit sounds wacc lol. Only early one is the Mesage. Otherwise some of rakimz old school shit is ok but I dont bump it because agen the shit sounds like its from another era because it is.
Im turning 16 in a month but I look old enough to not get Ided at clubs, LCBo, etc so that gives you a picture lol
edit- k Missed 1 part. I didnt even mean like that's all it was but it seems like that for the most part because there arent that many female artists left esp today. And from my POV because I aint heard a lot of em I guess because one part of it would be because a lot of female artists who would spit either go into or end up being classified as RnB and manz dont listen to that lol.
Ill def see it u know but u already know Im not gwanin on a disrespectful tip just saying what I see from my POV.
Elvis copied chucc berry and various other brothas and was basically a white man singing like a brotha.
This is a too generalized an opinion. Elvis Presley's music included a wide array of influences, including black rhythm and blues as well as black pop (the Ink Spots, Roy Hamilton, etc.), Southern black and white gospel groups (the latter of which sang backup with him later on records and stage), white country music and (especially) Dean Martin. If you listen to Dean's Memories Are Made of This, you would easily think you're listening to an Elvis song from the '50s. Albert Goldman, in his otherwise vile Elvis biography, makes a fairly convincing case that Elvis's singing was also influenced by Jewish cantorial singing.
Reasons I don't listen to hip-hop, BTW.
1. Sometimes the words fly by so fast I don't know what is being said, and the lyrics are the point of the songs.
2. I only listen in my car these days, and the bass is so deep it would distort my speakers.
then stfu n listen Cracca till u do U dont get what I mean by dismiss not liking it is not dismissing it.

Also, I forgot to mention Da Brat.
edit: And Queen Pen and Charlie Baltimore.
If it is okay I would add one-
She's a bit old school I guess and dates me- but Roxanne Shante was certainly an early important female voice.
Ill see them later but ok mainstream was the wrong word maybe like sellout tipz or not.

closing for length, but perhaps also a bit of hatred and ignorance too!
