babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.

I would love to meet with everyone. But a favour in future can we not schedule the get togethers so close to the start of the sabbath -- or on the sabbath
I just cant go for 7pm and then be home in time for shabbat dinner with family.
Aww...too bad. :( I'd have liked to meet you. I didn't even think of that. We'll see whether we can do one on another weeknight in future if you'd like to join us!
If other babblers across the country decide to hold get-togethers, please post about them! I'd love to hear how they went. :)
I'd like to host a similar event for Cape Breton babblers, but I'd have concerns about being the only one, and about what the ensuing conversation would be like without a moderator to intervene.
I have not posted much on babble for a long time but I will drop in to Old Nick's to listen to the clever conversation. I won't get lost, I know exactly where it is. It's easy to find.
I have noticed that a lot of people can't or won't read maps. When I was a kid we learned map-reading in school and as a young adult I would always get a local map when visiting a city I didn't know. I think that in a large city such as Toronto a map is a necessity if you want to travel around town outside your neighbourhood.
thas simple enuff ima come alone tho still dont know about yall
Good. :)
So, haven't heard yet from Sineed or Polunatic or N.R. Kissed. And don't Le T and RevolutionPlease live in Toronto too...?
(P.S. If I haven't mentioned you it's because I might not know you live here...)

Thanks for the map, Michelle. I've been lost in Toronto too many times to go without one. :)
I'm game for a Vancouver Island babble get-together. Maybe the mainland, but that's my second choice. Any takers?
Are you in Vancouver, N.Beltov? Why did I think you were in Manitoba?
Last time I checked, Vancouver wasn't on Vancouver Island.
I hope that's in August! I've decided I'm going to head to Quebec and would really like to meet some babblers while I'm out there.
I'm on the Island these days.
Apologies, I mistyped there. Vancouver Island is what I meant to type. :)
I hold the Saint John get together every evening.
Maybe the Sask babblers should all meet in Craik. I know there's a few of us in Regina and Saskatoon.

I will be unable to attend due to a cat sitting engagement in Fergus
Bring kitties along! :)
Seriously though - too bad. Next time!
That's funny, I know a cat named Fergus. See you next time, N.R.Kissed.

I have to pull out of this. I hope you all have fun and hope to encounter you guys again before too many moons wax and wane.
Regrets from Port Hope, sorry. A family member will be just back from a week's camping and will expect my presence.
Just reading this now. Thanks for the persuasive invite :)
I'll try to drop by on my way to the (free) Beaches Jazz Festival. Planning to catch Blackburn and God Made me Funky at Woodbine Park after 8:00.

Yay Marzo! Looking forward to meeting you! :) (Have we met before?)
It'll be nice to see you again, Gary, it's been a while. Maybe even since the last get-together?
I hope you all have a blast this evening.
I hope someone puts prescription strength laxatives in all your drinks. Cheers, assholes.
I'll be there, but without the laxatives
.
Someone is even giving you a troll to play with tonight. How considerate.
Abdool is banned. How I wish for such powers IRL.
See folks tonight, and sorry for those who can't make it. Maybe next time.
