Several glaring factual errors in this article, starting with the title!

Also, even if foreign restrictions had been lifted, the incumbents wouldn't have been able to match Globalive's bid for spectrum, as the auction was restricted to new entrants only so as to try and create some much needed competition in our wireless market. In fact, the winners of the spectrum are prohibited from even selling any of the spectrum won to an incumbent player for a minimum of five years.
Foreign players in wireless don't seem to be a problem for the US, UK, France, in fact, virtually all of the devloped world outside of Canada. ...which is no coincidence why Canada consistently ranks near the bottom in wireless penetration and ownership (even below many 3rd world countries) but at or near the top in terms of cost to consumers and revenue per user of our wireless companies.
Given our current options, I say... BRING ON THE EGYPTIANS!!
