The BQ doesn't want people emigrating from Québec, or even spending their tourist dollars in Fort Lauderdale. That's why they have no sympathy for air travellers. Calin Rovinescu didn't even have to pay them off. It was a freebie.

Exactly. 

The NDP is not enough of a threat for the BQ to want to take revenge on it.  The BQ easily won in Hochelaga, and the NDP has yet to defeat a single BQ MP.
