We could also mention the free-trade agreements concluded with reactionary regimes like Colombia, Peru, and Israel, as well as others being negotiated with South Korea and Panama.
It's not that Canada has changed all that much. It's been a junior partner in US imperialism and military aggression for many decades. It's been exporting asbestos, propping up Israel, and destroying the environment for just as long.
It's just that now the world is waking up to the ugly reality of Canada's true role in the world.
We don't have an "image problem". We have a capitalism problem.
