So the question remains, have the developed the intersect :p Humour aside I want these guys to find Pierre Poutine and who ever tried to attack the NDP's online voting. Oh and provide universally free antispyware/adware/virus protection software.

Ha Ha good luck ..that organization  was created by the conservatives for the conservatives..Canada might as well face it...they had there chance to get rid of the cons and the cons cheated and won..not one but 2X ...they will continue till Canadians actually stand up and physically throw them out.

Canadians  f*^& up bigtime and WHEN they switch to computerized elections ..like they plan too all the work these computer science phd people have done will be realized... Canadians ignored warnings about the Harper secret agenda and now it's actually coming thru ..They deserve what they get and conversly the conservatives will get what they deserve when Canadians actually stand up for themselves one day.

Harper didn't create CSEC, its been around since the cold war, and secretly growing since 2001. Actually I'm glad the Tories made it its own, agency, it'll making keeping an eye on it easier. I know the Tories did something right, I'm shocked too, quick someone call Ronald Regan and ask if hell has frozen over do to the devil making budget cuts.

The canadian security establishment was around for a  long time eavsdropping etc..but think about it... cyber anything is pretty new..

There was a public service campaign pre budget with ads made ..I happen to see one where public service workers for the security establishment were covering their id  ..in a shilloette and voice scrambled warning Canadians on how this security estblishment and others are being undermined by the Harper conservatives and foriegners ..Harper and the conservatives are traitors to this country and I believe the public service.

Harpers cons have declared war on the Canadians I hope they react accordingly.

Are you really calling me a conbot? have you read anything I posted outside this thread? I just like our institutions out in the open air when Parliament can keep an eye on it, instead of hidden in the ministery of defence.

Sorry about thatEmbarassed..referance removed...and I agree having it taken out of the shadows is a good thing. It's just that anything the conservatives are into right now reminds me of the remark Jean Chretian made during the Mulroney era when he said .."The conservatives have a reverse Midas touch..whatever they touch turns to garbage"..

We need spy agencies in order that they can identify terrorists. That way they can make sure that terrorists' visas are not revoked just before a surprise attack happens. It's all very efficient and can only get better with increasing violations of privacy and government-corporate spying on lefties, anti-war and peace activists, environmentalists etc or in other words actual threats to the state-corporate power merger.

National security is their game, and they operate on a need to know basis. Translation: The public and democratically elected opposition parties don't need to know. Their thoughts and words will become our's, and nobody can expect the inquisition.
