babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.
Yes - definitely saving money. Aside from babble and bread and roses, the weather page, Facebook, banking, and my email, I hardly make use of the Internet. Having high speed would mean everything gets done faster, and I'd have more time on my hands to do nothing (did I mention I'm retired?).
Yeah, I have a Canon Sure Shot. I'll check out how it works for that. I haven't had occasion to label any of my pictures from it in these creative ways -- but I never thought of editing pictures from OTHER sources with the software.
I don't get it. So Loreen's wearing a really weird hat. So what?
You know what they say about sow's ears, Unionist.
Which is insulting to the bovine community if you ask me.
geez, wish I could afford high speed - some of the images in this thread won't load - whatever they are.
You're saving money and peace of mind both, Boomer.

I know, Unionist!
The first time I saw this photo I was upset for days. Still am, actually.
kapitalist kitteh has big dreams
Enough posting images of reactionary running dogs... and their lackeys in business drag.
Speaking of drag.
*waves at bagkitty
Since its almost 4:20 on 4/20.
Proletarian cat looks at Maysie... with disapproval.
omg, hey everybody, check out this archival photo I found of bagkitty when he was just a wee little bagkitten.
Those eyes....they're so full of hope....
I thought the eyes looked a bit stunned, but soooo cute, coochie cooooooo.
Isn't that the kitten that Harper is preparing to torture, above?
But seriously, a propos of the thread topic, how do you experts, like M.Spector and Catchfire, add text to the pictures?
I managed to insert an image into a post early on here:
http://rabble.ca/babble/rabble-reactions/babble-needs-forum-animal-welfare
...but I didn't know how to change the size (answered above, I think) or add text.
Never forget the classics.
Nice one, pogge.
I hope Acme hurries up and makes my delivery soon!!!
Oh bagkitty, so low-tech.
But seriously.
I think you need a program like photoshop to do that. Oh the hilarity I could create if I had such powers.
Any image editing software will offer it, infracaninophile. If you have a digital camera, it likely came with some kind of editing software.
I got a great one from a cheap, $20 digital camera I bought years ago. Well outlasted the camera.

Thanks!
"bagkitty, I'm coming to getcha."
http://www.quickmeme.com/ is a photo hosting service that allows you to type what you want overtop.
and yes, I used Photoshop, but only to add text -- google search "squirrel road kill" then click on the IMAGES tab (not for the faint hearted)
