Does this bring us back to MacDonald-Detwiler ?
I thought their expertise was satellite imagery, with GIS (geographic information systems) being one of their primary markets. (besides the US military)

although, i hear that at least in the nwt, the people at the territory' geomatics centre are already fairly sophisticated at this sort of thing.
