from far and wide - Manitoba?

I was just wondering (And I can imagine this has been talked about before), why is it that in the from far and wide section Manitoba is in with Ontario and Quebec? I don't want to come off sounding like a cranky western separatist, but we probably have more in common with Saskatchewan than we do with Ontario (unless maybe you're talking about some areas of Northern Ontario) and the Man/Ont/Que section is pretty much dominated by things about Ontario and Quebec (understandable because they have a higher population and probably population of babblers). It seems to me like a better fit might be all the prairie provinces plus BC.

The most recent discussion, which went to hell in a handbasket fairly soon, was here, but there have been a few others.

But it is such a fun handbasket to ride in...

Of course with the past election, we have a whole new batch of regionalism to play with. Personally, I am going to suggest we put Saskatchewan in the same section as Prince Edward Island, we can call it Provinces that didn't elect any New Democrats*. Newfoundland & Labrador get a section of their own, Con Free Zone. -- Just think of the permutations available!

*oh yes, the Alberta Section of the NDP is going to be rubbing the Saskatchewan Section's nose in this for a long, long time
