You're so right, GOD FORBID that we might have someone who has ever had any links to the NDP having any say in economic policy - if that happened Canada might end up with a $50 billion deficit!! :-)

BTW: Duceppe just announced that the BQ will support the Tories on the ways and means motion on Friday. Looks like its the Harper government that may be "propped up by socialists and separatists"!!

Yes, but Duceppe is not planning to support the Conservatives on the non-confidence motion next week.  The BQ is only supporting the motion this Friday because they agree with the benefits it extends such as the home renovation tax.  Therefore, the NDP may be the only opposition party next week that supports the Cons.

Where is this claim coming from that there will be a confidence motion next week?     Everything I have seen suggests the next opportunity, once supply is passed, is not until October.

Parliament is not sitting next week.
