One more try. Please think, don't just react. If:
a) You fear that Harper might get a majority; and
b) That he will then use that majority to suppress political speech (y'know, the good kind);
then WHY would you want to establish the precedent that cable channels espousing unpopular views can be banned? Because you might end up on the banning end.
Or, as Ron Hawkins might say: "Sometimes, it's wise, to know which way the gun is pointed, before, you yell, I see the whites of their eyes."
The reason is he may be charged with fraud for putting peoples name like Kady Omalley on a petition website he was using as proof of liberal interferance. He admitted his "source" had put the names on their when several media people recieved emails to confirm their signature, Wells and Coyne were also baffled how their names got on the list.
He let something go about people names on the list that he shouldn't have been able to know about because of the timing of the names and the security type used. It is suspected he is the one that put these peoples names on the list. If true I hope it gets LOTS of air play to show how the harper cons have been doing things for the last 5 years given he was harpy's communications adviser. Also hope he enjoys a nice stay in jail for identity theft because of the so called tough on crime tory agenda.
Doubt anything comes of this, but I am hoping.
Him going to jail for this? Not fracking likely. He will probably have to pay a fine, or he will have great legal eagles that will get him off completely.

Your run of the mill media stations are all somewhat biased...To their credit,MSNBC and CBC OCCASIONALLY touch both sides of the coin.
It's a solid,undisputable FACT that Faux News is one sided,partisan and nothing but a propaganda machine that relies on out and out lies with nothing but contempt for the truth and disdain for anybody and everybody who contradicts their agenda.
If the right had learned anything from WWII,it was the power of propaganda and the power of controlled media.
Having an openly biased and partisan 'news' channel existing specifically to sell the agenda of a government and made mandatorially available on basic cable is text book FASCISM....That's what DICTATORSHIPS do..It can't be spinned into something else.
And THAT is the issue.
Al Jazeera is not a one trick pony..They report stories from all over the world on a wide variety of issues and subjects.
It is not a propaganda tool for Hamas,Al Qu'aida or the Taliban.
Anybody who thinks that has never seen Al Jazeera.
On topic of propaganda,a few months ago I was on the phone with a friend while watching TV and I brought up the fact that every 5 minutes there was a 'Canada's Economic Action Plan' commercial..I also told her that this was funny because I had seen a few signs erected at 'future site of...' places around town with the Conservative brand and the logo which read 'Canada's Economic Action Plan.'
She said she hadn't noticed so I thought maybe I was being paranoid.
But loe and behold,I read a story in the news a few days ago about how projects were funded on the condition of erecting the Conservative Party branded 'Canada's Economic Action Plan' signs boldly on display.
Who does that?.....

Billionaire George Soros is threatening to sue the Sun Media chain over a column penned by a conservative gadfly expected to play a key role in the media giant’s Sun TV venture.Soros spokesman Michael Vachon said the chair of Soros Fund Management was deeply upset by a early September Sun Media column by right-wing activist and author Ezra Levant.
