A video of Conservative Leader Stephen Harper singing John Lennon’s Imagine at a campaign stop last week has been removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim.

In the video Harper sings the hit song and plays the piano with 10-year-old Maria Aragon, who made headlines last month for her rendition of Lady Gaga’s Born this Way.

On Wednesday morning, the video was no longer available saying it had been removed “due to a copyright claim by Lenono Music.”

Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, owns the rights his music.

"It is about to be voting time," [Arcade Fire] wrote on their website Wednesday. "Our current leader has championed some pretty destructive initiatives on everyone's behalf... it's really important to get out and vote on May 2." [...]

Last month, Broken Social Scene guitarist Andrew Whiteman came out against the Conservative Party Of Canada. He scrawled "VOTE HARPER OUT NOW" on his guitar at the Juno Awards on March 27, and made sure to display it for TV cameras capturing BSS' performance.

Only days ago Yoko Ono's publishing company had a video of the prime minister performing John Lennon's peace anthem "Imagine" yanked from Youtube for copyright violation.

Open Letter to Stephen Harper, by Nino Ricci

Dear Prime Minister,

I am writing today, in the midst of what is quickly developing into the most exciting federal election this country has seen in months, to commend you for your own excellent campaign and to apologize for any slights that I or any of my fellow fiction writers might have directed against you in the past. Many of us fictionists had initially assumed that Mr. Ignatieff, as a novelist in his own right, would be our man in this election, but what your campaign has amply shown is that where fiction is concerned, the Harper Conservatives are without rivals.
