An Ontario Provincial Police tactical squad gave an Arnprior, Ont., man a terrifying wakeup call Friday, bursting into his home and holding him at gunpoint — before realizing they’d entered the wrong address.The team was looking to arrest an alleged drug dealer in possession of weapons when they stormed Steven Carrigan’s apartment before 7 a.m. armed with a stun grenade and rifles.
Carrigan was jolted awake by the sound of a stun grenade smashing through his window and exploding on his son’s bed.
“It was loud, like ‘boom! boom!’ ” recalled Carrigan. Fortunately, his 19-year-old was not home at the time.
