Usually that sort of thing (i.e. goal by Toews) kills the Canucks. Not to mention how they were dominating, getting millions of chances and not scoring. Wow, well as a long time Canucks fan I'm honestly surprised that the 'Hockey Gods' didn't strike us down. Now if only they can get past the second round....

That was great in so many ways. Nashville is a very strong defensive team with arguably the leagues best goalie, defenceman and coach but I'd take them in a hearbeat over the Blackhawks. That was massive for this team.

I should add as an afterthought that I'm really happy for Luongo. I know a lot of people think he's a choke-artist, overrated, epic-fail goalie. I'll definately agee you can rattle Luongo. If you're a Canucks fan though, with our history of goaltending, how can you not like him. He's got eccentricities but I don't get how there couldn't be with an elite goaltender. He takes his game very seriously, I like him. Starting Schneider was a good move though, it woke the team up and he's a real advantage the team has and shouldn't be afraid to play if they need to change momentum. I was really impressed with how Luongo handled it.

I think some teams just play certain other teams better than most. I thought Chicago had Vancouver's number there for a while.
