Ah, but first he said the pic was taken by mistake in his front pocket by the magic of the "X-ray Photo app for Blackberry".

I think he changed his story after he sobered up.

Hehe.  I was also kind of wondering how a camera in his pocket managed to take an accidental picture of something not in his pocket.

20 years ago I worked for a photo lab, and lemme tell you, dudes like pictures of their weeners.  No idea why.

Maybe he was happy to see you?

If it were Harper in this guy's place, and the anime fans got the same dirt, well, they'd have enough clout to start their own political party right there.

Okay, so through some covert measures I have obtained a screen shot.

I'm attaching it as a link. The image may break some babble rule of good taste that I'm unaware of.

Here it is. I actually can't quite discern what's going on, but it's somewhat penile. I think.

Now Magazine has some others. Now it's getting weird. Like it wasn't weird enough.

Life, the unive...

I'm not sure what I think about the fact that I have now seen this man's penis, but have no idea what his face looks like.  It feels sort of like a Sunday morning in my early 20s.

Has he offered to be "measured-up" in order to prove his innocence?

There needs to be a group of people demanding evidence...we could call them "Cockers".

What is with these guys from the right, Jon Stewart had coverage last evening about a Republican Senator who also took pics of his  penis and posted them but he said it was cyber crime.

Dodger718

That was Anthony Weiner, a DEMOCRAT from New York City and a good friend of Jon Stewart. But, yeah, really. If you're a congressman or a candidate for public office, what the hell are you thinking tweeting pics of your dick?

I think the best mobile app that someone could develop would be a breathalizer app that prevents you from using your phone if you're over a certain alcohol level.

Thank you and I stand corrected, as I was flicking through the channels, and stopped quickly to see it midway through (boycotting Jon Stewart) because I could not believe there was another one out there...what a weiner they both are.

Doug

Especially don't go tweeting photos of your penis if you're named Weiner. Tongue out

Wow, um, really especially. I'm not sure how that happened.

I think I preferred the penis.

Lord knows we got a ton of rules on this place, but I wasn't aware of any involving good taste.

Did you also go to the "Apocolapse Now" parties in the men's residence at Victoria College, U of T, in the 80s?

I actually believed him when he said someone hacked his account and that he had been the butt of penis jokes all his life.  In the interview I saw with him he looked somewhat amused that anyone would think that he had sent them.  For a politician with a name like Weiner I would say the odds of bad taste punking are astronomical.   Maybe a hundred to one he wouldn't be spoofed?

Caissa

He really is a putz.

An emotional Anthony Weiner, the feisty Democratic congressman famed for his passionate defences of liberal causes, admitted Monday that he did indeed send a series of lewd photos and sexy texts to a number of young women.

"I have made terrible mistakes and hurt the people I care about the most," said the married Weiner during an impromptu Manhattan news conference called shortly after fresh revelations emerged about his communications with a number of women he met online.

Well he sure fooled me.  But then I presume innocence. As well good liars know that a key to lying is to tell the truth.  He spent most of the time talking about the bad jokes people have made about his name.  That is likely true and therefore I heard truth in his words.

The real scandal surrounding Anthony Weiner is that he is bigoted against Palestinians and has misused his position in Congress to support punitive policies against them. Americans appear to be bored by policy, titillated by private peccadilloes. But it is the policies that are important. Mahatma Gandhi was once kicked out of a brothel in South Africa. No one judges him by his lapses. Weiner, in contrast to Gandhi, has not worked for peace but has rather given knee-jerk support to the worst policies of the most far rightwing parties in Israel toward Palestinians. A social liberal in American terms, Weiner is so blinded by his allegiance to Israel and so studied in his ignorance of the Middle East that he has played a uniformly sinister role in that aspect of foreign policy.

Thx Freed

I didn't know his stance on Israel in any detail.  I watch MSNB once and awhile and they describe him as a progressive.  He would make a great NDP MP if he was Canadian. American exceptionalism is a large part of the US liberal interventionist mindset.  People like Dewar and Baird think that Canada has its own exceptionalism to impose upon the less worthy nations of the world.

Why is it Canadian politicians never do anything as fun as sending semi-nude pictures to strangers?

Aren't there some cases where urologists ask men to take these pictures for diagnosis and treatment of possible problems?

Anthony Weiner, with wife Huma Abedin, admits to new explicit messages, won't drop out of NYC Mayoral Race

Anthony Weiner admitted Tuesday that he engaged in a newly disclosed, sexually explicit online relationship with a woman after his resignation from Congress in 2011, but with his wife, Huma Abedin, at his side, he vowed to stay in the race to be New York's next mayor.

The extraordinary news conference, marked by his wife's public statement of forgiveness, came after a new round of lewd photos and messages emerged on a gossip website.

"I said there were more things out there," he said in the hastily arranged appearance at a midtown building where a mayoral forum was to be held. "To some degree, with 49 days left until primary day, perhaps I'm surprised that more things didn't come out sooner."

He used the pseudonym "Carlos Danger," according to the report on the website, thedirty .com. The online-only relationship began after his son, Jordan, was born in December 2011 -- and within days of a flattering family photo running in a July 20, 2012, issue of People magazine, according to the gossip website's account of the timeline described by the woman.

Weiner said, "Some of these things happened before my resignation, some of them happened after; but the fact is that that was also the time that my wife and I were working through some things in our marriage."

What an ass.
