Give a gift:

- which everyone will appreciate, no matter how small it is

- which everyone will use

- which is guaranteed to fit

- which is easy to exchange or return

- which requires no comparison shopping

- which is completely free of federal and provincial sales tax.

Give cash.

Mind you, I've often been inclined to give credit where cash is due.

ETA: On a more serious note, Lefauve, depending on your finances and for a nice special gift for someone, how about a Rabble gift membership - starting from as little as $5 per month - which also allows the recipient to choose a print magazine subscription (Briarpatch, Broken Pencil. the Dominion, Canadian Dimension, MERIP, ricepaper, Yes!, This Magazine, Our Times, Geist, Herizons, Alternatives Journal, Corporate Knights, Fuse Magazine, Watershed Sentinel, New Internationalist)? Though it would be nice if there were some French-language options available. In fact, it might be nice if Rabble were somehow bilingual. Not necessarily translating all the content, but have some French-language sections, discussions, blogs, columns, etc...

Oy, stupid me, I forgot Beaudet, and I've actually read some of those... Thanks, CF.

And Lefauve - now you have even more reason to give a Rabble membership gift! Seriously, $60 is a bundle of cash, but hard to find a better way to spend it.

ETA: I knew it - I even commented on . Have to remember to keep taking my memory pills...

Baudet is great, but it's true he hardly turns rabble into a bilingual site--but this is one of our goals over the next year or so, to incorporate more french material. I know we just carried an article from Le Délit--small beans, I know, but little steps
