The Speaker threw out E. May's argument that the Budget bill be ruled out of order. And, the Opposition motions are being grouped together and will be voted on as a block, so that effectively shuts down the time it will take for the Budget to pass. It could be a done deal very soon.

ETA: Nycol Turmel just said the 1,000 admendments have been reduced to 159 votes, beginning Wednesday night the NDP will debate these around the clock. CBC estimates it will take 10 - 23 hours to get through all the admendments, much shorter than the 72 - 84 hours originally estimated last week.
