USA proves it's superiority in science
Here is a bonus for this week’s column that has nothing to do with contraception or abortion. On September 27, 2012, Congressman Paul Broun (R. GA.) gave a speech at a sportsman’s banquet at Liberty Baptist Church in Hartwell, Georgia. In his speech he said: “All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell.” Mr. Broun sits on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.

On Jon Stewart's Daily Show last night he mentioned Paul Broun in the segment You Magnificent Bastards.
Stewart went on to reflect on how nutter some of the elected representatives are. He also cited Todd Akin, the "legitimate rape and the magic vagina" guy, who also sits on the Committee on Science, Space and Technology along with mister Broun. It can leave you in awstruck wonderment sometimes trying to understand how a person can maintain such a monumental disconnect. "...whatever one may think of the men running for the presidency, they are at least the “cream of the crap” when compared to others in Washington."
That's the problem - there is no disconnect. They are happily dismantling any progress that science has made for the glory of their god.
It drives me up the wall to see "it's" in the thread title when a simple "its" would suffice.

Thx for the flaming spell.
