Hollween is around the corner and I would love to see all the opposition NDP MP's show up wearing a wig that represents and looks like JT's hair! What a great way to symbolise the ridiculousness of voters that like him because of it.

I had the privilege of being in Question Period today when this bill was discussed. Once I got over the theatre passing for politics in this country (j/k, I didn't), the bill sounded pretty alarming. My main red flag was he change to regulations over navigatale rivers, essentially removing all but a thimbleful of restrictions (to eliminate "red tape," natch). Why is that in a budget bill again?

E. May took on the navigable waters act changes in P&P tonight, as did the panel discussion. The Con rep - total scum - said the Opposition are just playing games with this. Almost put my fist through the tube when I heard that.

It was a response to my quip at the end my,post. I understand and share your rage over this horrible bill, but no need to take it out on poor Imaddictedtomyipod. He didn't draft the bill nor will he be defending it or passing it in parliament. I do like his idea about Halloween, although it belongs in the Trudeau thread (I take personal responsiblity for the thread drift).

I was so distracted by the item about the minister's power to remove anchored boats at the owner's expense that I forgot that this is a budget. And, since it is a budget, I haven't heard much about how much it's going to cost? Is it a surplus budget, or is it a deficit budget? How much of the budget goes to paying interest on the debt? Is any debt being payed down? Who gets paid all of this debt interest and debt money?
I found debtclock.ca which at the minute of this posting showed the debt at over $593 billion and growing.
