Sask Party Ad attacks Mulcair

It aims at both the Sask NDP wouldbe leaders,,which is one thing, but it takes aim at Mulcair which is both pathetic and cheating.

These ads are payed for by corporate dollars, which is illegal at the federal level. The attacking party is provincial, but one of the targets is federal.

How would the Tories like it if Andrea went after Harper via Hudak or the Liberals using Union dollars?

If this is allowed, then maybe she should.

I could see the Ad now, comparing the Liberals proguing parliament to Harper doing the same.

Actually, it is dumbass haters of all persuasions who make themselves irrelevant.

And the Harperites don't seem to mind going after their own in Alberta; I am starting to think this has less and less to do with ideology and more and more with mindless tribalism.

Saskatchewan was the where the Regina Manifesto established the CCF program in 1933 and where it first came to government in 1944, a quarter century before it did so anywhere else, as well as where the CCF/NDP have governed for more years than anywhere else. Every part of Canada is important, but Saskatchewan will always have a special place in NDP hearts.

I don't know; I think you got it right.

I mean the provincial election was barely a year ago, and I somehow doubt this is all to do with the NDP leadership. I think if is far more selling into the Harperite and American strategy of permanent campaign/attack, and that it is also a way to hit the NDP federally and provincially

I just heard another anti-Mulcair radio ad this afternoon making the accusation that we will pay more for gas and higher taxes because of "his carbon credit" system. That one was paid for by the Harperites.

My comment about Saskatchewan was harsh....I realize it is the province of Tommy Douglas but in 2012,this province is American Republican right.

I don't know what happened to this province but what it is now certainly would have Douglas spinning in his grave.

Saskatchewan is as progressive as Mississippi.

I can see Mississippi and Sask are somewhat similar, Manitoba like Louisana or Arkansas? BC like Florida, Ontario like California, Quebec like New York, Atlantic like USA east coast, three territories like Alaska and Alberta is more like Texas.

It was a comparison to emphasize Saskatchewan as backward and rednecky (Which has been proven not to be completely true)

You know, whoever it was who invented nationalism was a smart cookie; you never know who is going to fall for that ignorant, xenophobic shit.

I mean, to get back to the actual topic, I could play the blame game and say it is just a party financed by Albertans using an American playbook (via our Toronto-born prime minister) and the record of some Quebec politician to slag our local candidates. It's true.

But that would just be whiny, and wouldn't really do anything about the actual issue, would it?

Because frankly, this has the stink of the Harperites all over it. They didn't do all that well next door during their election, but who can blame them for trying it again here. And using the SaskParty coffers to finance their own propaganda campaign? Well, that's just like them to do as much as they can under the table, and on other peoples' dime.

Btw....Saskatchewan has 14 MP's....13 of which are Conservative.....The only province with more (in ratio) is Alberta,and they are most definately backward.

They're no longer the province of Tommy Douglas...In fact,if Tommy Douglas was to start his career today,he'd be run out of the Prairies.
