Is your washroom breeding Bolsheviks?

My favourite Scott Towel ad.

You can read the text more easily here.

These days, there isn't as much incentive for employers to improve working conditions.

Michelle

I WANT THAT POSTER.  I've been wanting it for years.

To hang in my washroom, of course.

Michelle

And I see that the link to where I can get it is still working.  Okay, I think I'm going to bite the bullet now and buy it.

Unionist

Yikes, I hadn't noticed your earlier lust - see if they'll give a discount for two!

Michelle

I got five.  Same shipping charge!

One for each washroom, Michelle? Must be nice...

I want one, too. And a plastic liner for it so it doesn't get wet and mouldy in my bathroom.

Bacchus

I have it up in my bathroom. Have done for about 11 years (I think it drove my first wife away)

Michelle

Ha!  No, Catchfire, I only have one washroom.  Just thought I'd get extras in case I want to give them away as gifts or something.  The posters themselves are cheap, it's just the shipping charge that costs a lot.  So I figured I'd get a few of them for the same shipping charge. :)

It's on my washroom door as well. :D One of my favourite high school teachers gave it to me when I graduated, since he knew I was such a Bolshevik myself. Always a great conversation piece.

I don't know about Bolsheviks, but I should have brought a bottle of Champagne in this morning.

Excited about the demise of the penny, Slumberjack?

I was perplexed too by SJ's enigmatic offering. I thought he was proposing champagne baths instead of soft hand towels as a strategem for retaining valued employees.

I believe that in Japan there are toilets with an automatic cleansing bidet, then your tender netherparts are gently dried by warm air.

Do we have a topic somewhere about the availability (or not) of public toilets? Seems we were discussing that some years back. It is an important issue in this cold winter. Often one can't use toilets in restaurants and cafés without ... drinking something. I was also wondering whether the BDS-related boycott of Indigo Books also included not using their (very nice) public toilets.

Slumberjack

Never mind.  I see there's too much work to be done here in terms of an explanation, or else I'm being goaded into explaining just for the heck of it, further than I have a mind to at the moment..but that could change.  I think it is the latter actually.

I'm more of a craft-beer Gramscian, myself.

I read the text 6 times through.

But I still can't figure how to breed the buggers.

Why, I think I just saw Maysie batting her eyes at me so winningly...

Yes, dear, you were one of the ones I had in mind. :)  My dad was another.  Guffaw.

I don't even know if there was craft beer in Sardegna, Catchfire. Turin, perhaps. Vienna, surely.
