Now this is big news and things just seem to be getting better and better for the NDP

Kelly used to be in the NDP and he worked on the party platform one of the years when Elizabeth Weir was leader. As well, he has done work in the past for Conservative senator, Noel Kinsella.  He is probably intellectually most at home in the NDP. The question is to find a seat that he might be able to win. He does bring baggage from his time as a Liberal cabinet minister especially when he was Minister of Education and changed the entry point for French immersion. He was successfully challenged in the courts and had to modify his plan.
