Chopping wood with an axe is such an enjoyable activity.
Good Lord I really enjoyed that article and prob would have enjoyed the tv show
I loved the person who couldn't go to sleep for the excitement of seeing the next log go on the fire.
don't get me started
Put another log on the fire.
I watched "Days of Heaven" with my grandmother one time. Her only comment: "They're making those stooks all wrong". Funny how when you are actually familiar with something you automatically notice that stuff. It's like the American TV shows where they dress people they way they think they should be for -35.
Chopping wood with an axe is such an enjoyable activity.
Speaking which, I remember driving a big, beefy weightlifter to distraction one time because he didn't understand the principle that most of the force goes into the swing and letting momentum do the work, not trying your damndest to drive the blade into the wood. He couldn't handle the fact that a guy half his size was splitting rounds he could barely dent.
Like ringing the bell at a carney show.
Like ringing the bell at a carney show.
Exactly. And for the record, I was not so cruel as to not explain it to him. But he still had a hard time with seeing it.
Frankly, when I am cutting wet wood, by the time it hits most of my energy is going into holding the axe back from flying off into the bush, not pushing it forward.
What a great article! Thanks, NorthReport!
I often wish we bordered on those Scandanavian countries, rather than our gun-crazed elephant to our South. But then we would have to travel farther to get to Disneyland.
Norway’s ‘Doomsday Vault’ holds a priceless treasure: Seeds
Norway opened the vault in 2008 on a remote archipelago in the High Arctic. More than 1,400 gene banks were invited to send duplicate seeds to protect their genes in case of disaster.

Jusr like Canada, eh!
What a collective useless bunch of governments we have had running Canada since Confederation, and now they are basically allowing provinces like BC to bit-by-bit, to dismantle our Health Care system.

Norway Is Choosing Its Fossil Fuel Industry Over Climate Action
BY
Climate scientists have called for Norway to stop drilling for gas and oil. But the Labor Party refuses to break its dependency on fossil fuel profits — and this week, it formed a government with centrists rather than the ecosocialist left.
