OSSTF decision

Thank you, SF. I regretted breaking solidarity and doing extracurriculars, but I am merely a teacher candidate trying to get through teacher's school. The university said go with your associate teacher's lead, and so I did. It's tough. I think the Liberals are using a divide and conquer strategy against teachers.

And I think the most important day of protest comes once every four years that really counts. We have to be sure to show up on that one day of protest that counts for anything and vote against this dictatorial government. How can they expect us to teach kids about democracy and, at the same time, tell us not to bother fighting for it?

Fascists' first order of business  as a rule is to attack labour unions. These Liberals are opposed to free labour markets.  These so-called Liberals want cleaning out of Queen's Park but good.

Reading Paulo Freire, 'Pedagogy of the Oppressed' for a course next month. Trying to figure out how i might integrate this philosophy with computer engineering technology.

I think Freire's is very revolutionary material. I suppose some of his philosophy, especially Freire's dictum for treating learners as partners in the creation of knowledge and not as empty vessels who we pour our precious knowledge into, has been the attitude of school boards and newer teachers in Ontario for some time. They are fairly angry with the Liberal gov here at Queen`s today, but what you said before strikes home for me. The Faculty of Ed here is also fairly upbeat about the overall funding for education by these Liberals in Toronto. Hats off to the Liberals, and I don`t do that very often.
