Crossed the Floor

Hello fellow Babblers. Long time no hear! During the last provincial by-election in London West I was turned off by the Liberal candidate when he turned his back on the teachers union and with the whole gas plant fiasco and I would never vote Conservative so I crossed to the provincial NDP and Andrea. After Andrea stopped by Satler's campaign office and had her speech it won me over At that time all the stuff she was talking about was what I felt. So I am hoping you guys will let me in the family so to speak.

 Welcome.

Brachina

Maybe you should change your net name to NDPer :D

Unionist

Welcome back, Liberaler. Don't mind the background noise.

NorthReport

Yea don't worry, Unionist has your back. Laughing

NorthReport, I believe when people join babble, or return after a long absence, we should be welcoming. Otherwise, one day, we may end up with threads that are all begun by the same person. How would that feel? So let's treat each other nicely, even those who may have once supported one of the evil parties, as opposed to the party of God.

Cool

Welcome back anyway.  If you're referring to the NDP though, 'in the family' is what it actually means.

I don't know, people who have been members of the Liberal party are evil incarnate and should be treated as such by any honest NDPer.  By the way, how's Mulcair doing these days?

NorthReport

Unionist, how did Pope Francis overlook you?  Laughing

By that's ok, we know you fall in love with anyone who come here and professes to be an NDP supporter but spends all their time attacking the NDP.

Hi Liberaler. Welcome to the Dark Side.

Unionist

Well, that wasn't a very welcoming exchange, so I'm going to contribute a link about a country that takes floor-crossing very seriously:

Quote:
Twenty-one opposition MPs have been expelled from Zimbabwe's parliament after they broke away to form a new party.

Speaker Jacob Mudenda ordered the expulsion of the MPs, led by former Finance Minister Tendai Biti.
