I agree. There's no chance I will watch, much less pay for, this American Sniper film.

It's just another 'Murica racist gun happy military snuff film. Americans eat this shit up. If you want to celebrate an American hero,go see Selma.

Fat chance,huh?

Though I found Michael Moore's "snipers are cowards" comment kind of dumb and lacking in analysis. In the first place there were no such protests about "Enemy at the Gates", and secondly, how are snipers any better or worst than any other tool of war. I thought the notion of it being sporting went out ages ago.

voice of the damned

I wouldn't get too self-righteous about dumbass Americans slobbering over American Sniper. It's box office in the UK(and we can probably assume Caanda) has been nothing short of amazing. Here's an article from the Guardian giving the numbers: http://www.theguardian.com/film/filmblog/2015/jan/20/american-sniper-cli...

Not really a movie but ........

Texas Rising: American history as reimagined by the Tea Party

Despite a heavyweight director and a starry cast, History Channel’s blockbuster miniseries is a slow and muddled mess whose politics leave a nasty taste

What’s the name of the show? Texas Rising

Weren't those Texas Rangers actually fighting in favour of slavery?

The worst movie I ever saw was called the symphony of silence. It is a 2001 Armenian movie. Every scene involved water, either ponderous looks it rain,  ponderous looks at streams, Or ponderous looks at ponds. It was soooo boring.

I was tempted to say it sounds like food for pondering, but I won't.
