with my new laptop, I'm no longer able to cut-and-paste links into my posts

Is this happening to anyone else?  Any suggestions on how to correct this?  Thanks to anyone who offers them.

Reboot - as in switching the machine off completely - or switch to the other OS on your laptop. [Of course you have a dual boot laptop, right? heh.]

Slumberjack

Boot your gear and get new stuff.

I've had copy/paste bork on me in the past, but it can typically be re-enabled.

Have you tried dropping it a couple of times?  Tongue outLaughing

Worked with my friends' volvo.

Their starter solenoid froze up, and the solution was to hammer it right on the spot where it says "do not hit here".

I am now able to cut-and-paste on other websites, but still can't here on Babble.  Any site-specific advice on how to do that here?

Perhaps a silly question but I assume you have already tried different browsers and disabled all extensions to test?

Hate to be scientific... but could you describe, step by step, what you're trying to copy and paste and how you're going about it and what happens when you try?

And I hate to be pagan, but in the interest of "teach both theories", have you also prayed hard enough to God that this time He might let it work?

Switching browsers did the trick.

I can't cut and paste links here. Some forums don't allow it until the person has been on the forum for a while with a certain number of posts. I just thought that was the problem? Hmmpf!

Mind telling us which browser didn't work and which one did - it might be of assistance to others?

Firefox works. Chrome works.

It was Internet Explorer that was the problem.  I switched to Firefox.

(I've also heard that Big Nerd is retiring Internet Explorer as a browser for Windows, so perhaps that had something to do with it).
