Okay. Looks like I MIGHT have my answer about how seriously to take the CBC's leaked time-line...

Bill Blair, Canada’s pot czar, doesn’t sound impressed with the leak of the news that marijuana use will be legal by Canada Day 2018.

“That isn’t my date,” he harrumphed in an interview Wednesday. “I haven’t said anything about a timeline and the speculation is highly aspirational. There’s tons of work to do.”

Thanks votd and mark_alfred for the clarification.

I think Trudeau is in for a rude shock if he continues to weasel out of the positions he campaigned on. "Not Harper" won't work in 2019.

Who decides editorial -- civil servants or the party? Where is the information?

first box is "strong middle class" -- this is political propaganda and not government work. The government has not objectively defined middle class beyond the political BS of the Liberal party. The Liberal party is following the politicization of the governing organs of the state (that we criticized the Conservatives for) by creating this site.

The Liberals are not offering any real independence to this process and are just making it look objective. I suspect this may backfire as infomration about the process becomes available.
