Worthwhile to remember the bulk of financing and materiel for the Islamists fighting in Syria is funnelled through Saudi Arabia. So cutting of CIA direct funds is meaningless.

Depends on your perspective. What if Trump banned men of Iberian descent? Would you come to their defence and make up a hypothetical argument that men of English descent are next? Or would you go straight back to woman are next? Personaly I'd like to see EVERYONE banned from the military all over the entire world! So in a way really, this is a tiny victory to seeing militaries vanishing.
Either way it doesn't matter much, I feel that Trumps intent was not to discriminate against probably the smallest identifiable minority community in the US military, but to draw the left into defending the military and blurring the lines defining imperial war crimes.

To make it even more clear, I'll fill it in a little. I believe that people who join the military in the USA consider the medical care they will receive as military personnel, and that may influence their decision on whether to join or not.
