Saudis Would Only Hurt Themselves By Cancelling LAV Contract

https://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/defence-watch/saudis-would-only-...

"There are several factors playing in favour of the deal to supply the LAVs to the Saudis: The Saudis would have to pay penalties if they walk away from the deal, a pullout could hurt the country's reputation with other international trading partners and, perhaps most importantly, Riyadh wants the model of armoured vehicle that's produced in London."

Quite aside from the active and longstanding collusion of the USraeli duopoly snakes in Saudi crimes across the region and beyond - we have once again displayed in all its awfulness the participation of 'our' Canadian government. 'We' buy their dirty bloody oil and sell them billions in arms to murder Yemenis, Shia and perhaps later Iranians.

Like the Israeli atrocities which 'we' also support this is no secret to anyone in Canada, as even the domestic dogsvomit media have had to cover it somewhat. But nonetheless nothing will happen in Canada in response.  If anything does it will be a top down decision based on elite interests only.  There will be a zero or negligible political response from Canadians that registers in any real way upon this awful criminality.  This is an unfortunate reality that smells so bad even Canadian liberal progressives won't be able to ignore its pong much longer.

For the life of me I will never understand how anyone possessed of a heart or a brain could possibly cast a vote for  a political party that supports or ignores this disgusting state of affairs.

The West’s reaction to Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance is a disgrace

Quote:

The bottom line where that armoured vehicle deal is concerned? Three thousand jobs in Canada for 15 years and 6,000 civilian deaths in Yemen in just three years.

Still, the prime minister says he has “serious issues” about the fate of Khashoggi, and he joins Canada’s allies around the world in expressing those concerns.

But has Trudeau picked up the phone and called the prince to ask if the Saudis have evidence Khashoggi left the embassy alive?

Has Trudeau outlined what Canada will do if the Turkish government’s unequivocal claim proves true, that they have direct evidence of the journalist’s horrible demise inside the Saudi consulate?

No, he hasn’t, despite the fact Khashoggi went missing on October 2.

It’s a classic case of too little, too soon.

Settling the Khashoggi Case is A Difficult Matter

https://t.co/mI0UDDu4CX

"...Recently Khashoggi started a number of projects that reek of preparations for a CIA controlled color-revolution in Saudi Arabia. Khashoggi has an enormous number of friends in Washington. Mainstream journalists see him as one of their own.  Some solution must be found. The easiest one is for King Salman to fire his son and to reinstate Muhammed bin Nayef, who MbS had dethroned as crown prince. Nayef is the CIA's man.

But if Salman is unwilling or unable to do this, an excuse must be found for whatever happened to Khashoggi. Some 'rogue element' of the Saudi state could admit that it killed Khashoggi. MbS would deny any knowledge. But fifteen of his most trusted men, those who were seen in Istanbul, would have to be punished. (How would the rest of his body guard react to that?)

Mohammed bin Salman has one mighty ally that might help him to decrease the noise in Congress and the 'do something' pressure on Trump. The Zionists already recognize that helping MbS is in their interest..."

PS: Jamal Khashoggi's uncle, billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, was one of the world's largest and most notorious international arms dealers, involved in the Iran/Contra scandal. His cousin, Dodi Fayed was killed in a car accident with Princess Diana. This story has gotten too big too quickly for it to be just another Saudi wet-job. Something big is planned methinks.

Just from a quick glance of their coverage, I wouldn't say the NYT is giving the theory uncritical applause...

But the theory was widely dismissed among Mr. Khashoggi’s friends, human rights advocates and some on Capitol Hill, who noted that Saudi officials had denied his death for two weeks — including assertions by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman last week and the king himself on Monday.

“Been hearing the ridiculous ‘rogue killers’ theory was where the Saudis would go with this,” Senator Christopher S. Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut, wrote in a Twitter post. “Absolutely extraordinary they were able to enlist the President of the United States as their PR agent to float it.”

Deal Will Blame Khashoggi Death on Extreme Torture

https://t.co/l8sqWRmWQx

"The coverup of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, killed on behalf of the Saudi clown prince Mohammed bin Salman, proceeds apace. It is part of a deal between Turkey and Saudi Arabia under the aegis of the United States. The haggling over the details will take a while. An open question is the future of clown prince MbS. The 'deep-state' wants him to leave.

Trump sent secretary of state Pompeo to facilitate negotiations between the Saudis and Turks. Ambassador James Jeffrey, the special representative for Syria engagement is joining him in the endeavor. The Saudis finance the Kurdish proxy force the US uses for its occupation of northeast Syria. One of Erdogan's demands will be that any such support ends.

Trump is a businessman. The US help for cleaning up the mess MbS caused will not come cheap. He will press the Saudis to sign more weapons deals. He will urge them to stick to random killing of Yemeni civilians. In the view of the Washington establishment causing the famine of millions of dark-skinned people is a lesser sin than touching a journalist and operative they perceive as onen of their own."

US Sanctions on Riyadh Would Mean Washington is Stabbing Itself

https://english.alarabiya.net/en/features/2018/10/14/US-sanctions-on-Riy...

"...If US sanctions are imposed on Saudi Arabia, we will be facing an economic disaster that would rock the entire world. Riyadh is the capital of its oil. If the price of oil reaching $80 angered President Trump, no one should rule out the price jumping to $100, or $200 or even double that figure. An oil barrel may be priced in a different currency, Chinese yuan perhaps instead of the dollar. And oil is the most important commodity traded by the dollar today...These are simple procedures, that are part of 30 others, that Riyadh will implement directly, without flinching an eye if sanctions are imposed. The truth is that if Washington imposes sanctions on Riyadh, it will stab its own economy to death..."

Trump Backs Saudi Arabia, Suggesting 'Rogue Killers' Murdered Khashoggi

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2018/10/16/khash-o16.html

"...For decades, successive US administrations, Democrat and Republican, have maintained the closest relations with Saudi Arabia, turning a blind eye to their repressive, anti-democratic regime at home and their criminal actions abroad. The trenchant criticism of Trump over the Khashoggi killing is bound up with tactical differences in the US political and military establishment over his unilateral abrogation of the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, which has alienated America's European allies, and his confrontational stance towards China.

The unending allegations of 'Russian interference' in the 2016 presidential elections are aimed at confronting Russia, rather than China first, as the US seeks to maintain its global dominance. Those who denounce Trump for absolving the Saudi regime without any evidence, have been in the forefront of unsubstantiated accusations of Russian meddling in American politics.  In the end, once the Khashoggi affair has dropped out of the headlines, there is little doubt that Washington will come together to reaffirm relations with Saudi Arabia."

WWWTT

This alleged Khashoggi death murder is very odd. Making this subject unusually interesting.

This allegedly happened in Turkey? Not too long ago, this country was turning NATO on its end! Facing US sanctions for their purchase of the Russian S-400 missile defence system and possibly advanced Russian fighter jets. And on top of that US tariffs were levied against Turkey to cause chaos to the Turkish economy.

Turkey joined Russia Iran alliance to resolve Syria conflict and help Assad

Turkey was very vocal about seeking alliances away from NATO and the west!

But now all of a sudden Turkish government are the good guys rushing to the defence of human rights in Saudia Arabia?

I call fuckin bullshit!

This is a western corporate media propaganda stunt!

Beware what you read!

I speculate that NATO/Saudia Arabia/Israel alliance is facing a huge problem coming from China Russia India Iran Turkey Pakistan possibly Venezuela Brazil Indonesia are also involved?

Maybe US is looking for a graceful way of diverting attention away from the massive NATO loss in Syria? Similar to how Nixon visited China when it became obvious that the US will never win any war against communist China and its better to kiss China’s ass than lose trillions of dollars!

voice of the damned

But now all of a sudden Turkish government are the good guys rushing to the defence of human rights in Saudia Arabia?

You're assuming, of course, that Turkey's motivations in all of this are entirely related to how they want to position themselves in regards to the major power blocs. But there could be other factors at play, like for example, just thinking "Umm, somebody was probably murdered in a consulate housed on Turkish soil. Maybe we should say something about this."

voice of the damned

As for Turkey now being one of the "good guys", no country in NATO is likely to have ever been seen as much of a "bad guy" by other NATO countries, or the west generally. So closer relations between the US and Turkey isn't really comparable to the 1970s rapprochment between Communist China and the US, two countries that had been at each other's throat since the late 1940s.

No that’s not my point.  The point I’m making is how the western corporate media is spinning this.

Seriously, you think this Saudi journalist is the first person ever alleged to have been murdered in such fashion?  We only know what the media tells us basically. I’m sure there was thousands murdered for similar reasons but we will never know because it’s been covered up by governments.

But all of a sudden now that’s not the case anymore is it?

The guy was writing for the Washington Post.  That’s why it’s a big deal for the media.

As for Turkey, they get something out of it because, if they play ball, and don’t make a big stink, both the Saudis and U.S. will owe them.  Not to mention the positive publicity they’ll get in the western media for “unveiling” the murder.
