So Trudeau fires (demotes, same thing) his justice minister because she won’t cave into his demands to not prosecute one of the most corrupt construction companies in Canada. Quite the optics for voters to reflect upon come election time

If you can forget about the fact Michelle Rempel is conservative and keep an open mind, and maybe over look the theatrics a little, she does a great job explaining what Trudeau and the liberal government tries to pull with snc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2J5CBbXQKAA

Harper first campaigned on transparency and moral character. Church-going God fearing boring frugal accountant.

Every campaign is a completely fresh strategy devised based on current conditions. Trudeau will campaign on the child tax credit and the trade deals and there semi-pharmacare plan. He will retread former campaign promises saying it takes longer than four years to make big changes while pointing out the progress he has made. He will campaign on a booming economy and will have feel good stories about Syrian immigrants. He will be all steady hand at the tiller.

Interesting article, but does anyone know who "Pagemeet Singh" is?  Apparently, he is the leader of the "left-wing NDP". Does that qualify as 2 errors in the same article? LOL.

ha! will Trudeau have to resign? 11 people pressured her after decision was made and she warned them it was inappropriate and then she had veiled threats because afterall 'the election, Quebec and the PMs riding is in  Quebec.,'

so they wanted laws changed for politics. are Quebecers ok with this corruption?

NDPP

I think it's clear Trudeau's actions were grossly inappropriate. He should face criminal prosecution for obstruction of justice. At the very least he needs to resign. Perhaps Chrystia Freeland the Nazi's grand-daughter should take his place and we can go to war against Russia for Ukraine, Venezuela for Trump and Bolton, and whatever Israel needs us to do.

NorthReport

This looks like a freakin' nitemare for Trudeau!

Jody Wilson-Raybould testimony: Former AG says she received 'veiled threats' over SNC-Lavalin case

Her remarks to the House of Commons justice committee deepen what is already the biggest crisis of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s tenure

https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/jody-wilson-raybould-testimony-ju...

It will be amusing listening to Trudeau ahbedy- ahhing himself out of responsibility for this suicide-by-idiot disaster. He should have to resign but sleazy Liberals will cling to power with desperation. If the sleazeballs put as much effort into their 'options' as they did into the SNC DPA attempt, they may figure out their only option is to resign to the GG and call an election now.

Martin N.

Even more amusing will be the pretzellogic of the usual suspects defending the Clown Prince. The dolt needs to go to prison for abuse of process in badgering the AG for 4 months after her affirmation of the Director of Public Prosecution's decision.

NDPP

And then what?  Vote for whom?

NorthReport

So perhaps instead of all the stupid attacks on the NDP leadership Canadians should have been focusing their attention on the inadequacies of the current prime minister.

Wilson-Raybould says Trudeau’s office part of ‘consistent and sustained effort’ to interfere on SNC-Lavalin decision

Was a BC First Nation woman a good choice as Justice Minister for ALL Canada

What in the world are you infering by that comment?

rikardo,

oh my!!! What a racist, sexist, regionally bigoted statement!!! WOW!!!

Hurtin Albertan

Well, maybe he meant any random BC First Nation woman, like if you just picked a name randomly out of a phone book or something.  He couldn't possibly be referring to Wilson-Raybould, right?  Right?  I'm sure he'll be along soon to clear things up.

quizzical

he said same damn thing in another thread.

i say, yup she was obviously the best choice, as even if Conservatives were in they would've done the same as Trudeau and group wanted.

Hurtin Albertan

I didn't see that same post in the other topic until later.  What an odd thing to post.

The Conservatives can match the Liberals in corruption but they don't seem to match the Liberals on Quebec corruption.  I don't think the current Conservatives ever won a lot of Quebec seats, things were different with the Mulroney-era Progressive Conservatives.

Sometimes I almost miss Preston Manning and the Reform party, they never would have had a corruption scandal that somehow tied in to Quebec because I don't think they ever won a seat there.

Looks like Jody Wilson Raybould and Justin Trudeau are going  to mend fences, now that Gerald Butts is out

Jody Wilson Raybould visits the cabinet table, is invited by a Liberal MP to appear at a justice committee a couple hours later and says she will appear to testify, if her lawyer gives her the green light. Things are looking a little brighter for the PMO today.

A lot of people got played like fiddles.

Where are all the Liberal trolls today?

If we're going to continue posting in this obsolete thread in addition to a dozen others about the same topic - could I respectfully ask NorthReport to please correct the spelling, or better yet, update the title, or better yet, let's just stop posting here??

1. "fall" has no capital letter

2. It's Chantal Hébert. You can use copy and paste.

Lol that funny shyt Unionist! I think a lot of us gave up 1-2 weeks ago? But you have a point, it’s disrespectful to French Quebec language culture so I shouldn’t laugh st your requests and will respect your wishes brother.

Justin Trudeau and SNC-Lavalin.

When we get the results of polling that takes place later on in the week we will be in a better position to see what kind of damage has occured to the Trudeau brand.

I would think however that many Canadians are now probably going to be more skeptical about Trudeau’s climate change pronouncements

Yes and a better choice for PM than a privileged trust fund twit from anywhere. She has integrity, he has superficial charm - you choose.

The problem with this opportunity is that the NDP will respond by stabbing the leader in the back and eating their own young at the first opportunity. Jagmeet needs to decide on centre-left or loony-left because never the twain will meet.
