His death [reported 6 times already] came about not because he was suddenly discovered in his hideout in Syria's northwestern province of Idlib, the last redoubt of the former Al Qaeda-led forces of the CIA-funded 'Free Syrian Army.' Rather it was because previous protection was withdrawn. There are a thousand reasons why the Baghdadi killing is fake, but top of the list is this one, there are no ISIS fighters, no facilities, no groups friendly to ISIS within hundreds of miles from where he was allegedly chased down by a dog.
The entire idea is absurd according to Major General Igor Konashenkov of Russia’s Defense Ministry, who initially reported the that the alleged raid was not seen by Russia’s S400 radars, which everyone knows see everything, even the smallest drone a few feet off the ground.
That report was scrubbed by Google and Facebook but exists still on Tass.
“Russia’s defense ministry has no reliable information about an operation by US forces in the Turkey-controlled part of the Idlib de-escalation zone aimed at another extermination of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,” he said.
“We know nothing about any assistance to the flight of US aircraft to the Idlib de-escalation zone’s airspace in the course of this operation,” Konashenkov said.
Americans and others in the West won’t have this information, Google and Facebook delisted it and any publications that carried this language, but it exists just the same.
Yet another report about the extermination of al-Baghdadi can hardly influence the situation in Syria, Konashenkov said.
“After Islamic State was ultimately defeated by the Syrian government army with support of the Russia aerospace forces in early 2018, yet another ‘death’ of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi will have no impact either on the situation in Syria or on the actions of terrorists staying in Idlib,” he said.
“No airstrikes by either US air forces of the so-called international coalition have been registered in the Idlib de-escalation zone on Saturday and over the recent days,” Konashenkov said.
Apart from that the Russian defense ministry said it doubted that al-Baghdadi could be hiding on a territory controlled by Jabhat al-Nusra (outlawed in Russia as a terrorist organization) in Idlib.
“This organization has always unhesitatingly killed Islamic State fighters on the spot as key rivals for power in Syria. Bearing this in mind, the US or other participants in the operation should at least provide direct evidence that the former Islamic State leader had been safely staying on a territory controlled by the ‘Syrian Al Qaeda (also outlawed in Russia),” he added.

Fighters from the Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group***, backed by Turkish forces, carried out an attack against the Syrian Army that was doomed from the start. The main question now is, why?
....HTS units, backed by Turkish artillery, were able to overrun several Syrian Army positions, capturing a number of armored vehicles, before being driven back by airstrikes delivered by the Russian Air Force. The Turkish media has reported that at least two Turkish soldiers were killed in the fighting, and several more wounded, though the Turks say they were hit by Syrian, not Russian warplanes....
One of the main unanswered questions for Turkey was how the Russian Air Force would respond to any attack involving Turkish troops and equipment. That question has now been answered. In carrying out the Nayrab attack, Turkey has escalated the situation almost to the level of direct Turkish-Russian combat. In the immediate aftermath of the Russian airstrikes against Turkish/HTS forces, the Turkish government issued a request to the US for Patriot anti-air missiles to help defend Idlib air space from the Russian Air Force. It is highly unlikely that such a request would be granted....
While Russia may yet accede to a ceasefire, it would not do so unless Turkey were to provide guarantees that the HTS fighters in Idlib were disarmed and removed. Void of that, Russia has made it clear it will continue to support the Syrian Army in its efforts to restore control over the totality of Syrian sovereign territory. Unless Turkey is willing to risk full-scale war with Russia over Idlib, it appears Erdogan’s bluff has been called, yet again.

Why should we pretend that the Russians are much better than the Americans in Syria? This is a cold-hot war being fought by proxies on the soil of another country with interference from countries that could not care less for the people living there.
I see no reason to take sides between the Russians and Americans while people are dying due to their fight over their interests. Either side could be more mindful of the human cost and neither side gives a damn. People around the world (including here) are rushing to cheer for their team and this is part of the problem.

This after sitting silently by while Canada, USA, EU, Saudi, Israel- backed jihadi proxies tore the country apart. Now that Syria is on the point of taking the last of their West-backed terrorist occupied territory from the last terrorist stronghold the usual faux crocodile tears and howls of outrage appear. But then this is a country where the NDP nominated Al Qaeda's 'White Helmets' for a nobel peace prize. So pay no attention to such outrageous hypocrisy.
