babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.

Dressing like a hockey mom no longer good enough for Sarah Palin

HA- I've got you beat. One of mine came as a gag present from my kids and basically looks like Basset Hound. Jokes on them though as I wear it with gusto whenever we are going somewhere with them in a public spot. My 13 year old just pretends, that not only am I not her father, but that I am not even there. There are so few joys in parenthood sometimes, but one of them is definetly mortifying your children.

You've just made fatherhood 10x more appealing to a young person!

Ha ha. That sounds just like my Dad. He was always doing things like that and yes I was mortified. His favorite was a bright blue t-shirt that said 'Damn Seagulls' and a plastic bird poop dripping on one shoulder. It got worse after he went on a trip to Scotland and added one of those red plaid tams with the pom pom on the top to that outfit.

It wasn't until we got older and would chide him about his 'fashion' sense that he told us, "Heck I just wore that stuff cause it bugged the heck out of you and your sisters."

Sure, I wish politics hadn't become such a media beauty show, but Palin didn't start that. There are so many far more serious things to throw at her.

Like her cretinism.
