Manfesto for the Coalation to Change Torture Laws

Our rape laws were written in a British colonial era. They do no adequately cover the heinous crime of torture that accompanies rape where the threat of death is used, without or without a weapon. Such a situation puts the victim in grave concern for their life.

Similarly, if a house invasion occurs and a women is raped and the offender says “I'll kill your children (or your invalid father) if you scream”, that is torture. The victim is put in grave concern for the life a loved one.

When a citizen purposefully causes extreme pain to another one's body, so the victim has reasonable grounds to believe they may die, that is torture. When a home invasion occurs and the occupants are tied up and told if they scream they will be killed, that is torture.

More Battles "The Right's War on Women" & a Little or no coverage

At a time when even 'Serious' news sites give all the front page to Charlie Sheen, the reproductive rights of Americans at large are clearly under attack.

Is feminism so passe? Why is this seen as a purely women's or Feminist issue, when it impacts everyone in the U.S.?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/utah-women-may-face-mur...

Guilty until proven innocent? A bill written by a man with a long track record of anti- women, & anti- freedom legislation.

Where is this all going to end? I think women have to demand front page coverage of this & other anti-women, anti- fredom, anti-family legislation currently on the U.S.'s Right Wing's front burners.
