water rights & other activism: Canadians have to reach out to teach US citizens

There is a huge push to force Canada to sell water as a commodity... its probably best for Canadian activists to be doing some gentle education for US activists if we want to educate the US about water issues & the impacts to regional ecology,

before the US media & divisive politicians begin to accuse *Canadians* of hoarding (aka, 'how dare you reserve the right to not trade or commodify!') a human right... which should be an essential commodity of trade for 'American Interests'... obviously, the US has corporate interests best suited to managing the resources for those backward, dumb & selfish Canadians...

What The "Do Nothing" Obama Has Accomplished That We Choose To Ignore Or Fail To Acknowledge

Quote:
There is a rising chorus of impatient progressive bloggers, some on these pages, calling Obama a failure and a do-nothing president only nine months into his first of four years as president. SNL's "do-nothing skit" on Obama may well have empowered some on our side to start playing on the fringes of the Limbaugh sandbox. While the charges and name-calling are not as vicious as the Limbaugh Lemmings, it has started nonetheless.

Maher on Obama's education policies

Quote:

Last week President Obama defended the firing of every single teacher in a struggling high school in a poor Rhode Island neighborhood. And the kids were outraged. They said, "Why blame our teachers?" and "Who's President Obama?" I think it was Whitney Houston who said, "I believe that children are our future - teach them well and let them lead the way." And that's the last sound piece of educational advice this country has gotten - from a crack head in the '80's.
